Busy does not mean blessed.

Success Hacks For The Busy Girl With Big Dreams

If being busy made you successful then you would already be living the life of your dreams. Sis, success is not about hustling. It's about being intentional with the life God has designed for you.

I used to think that the more packed my calendar was the more productive I would be. Every box had to be filled and scheduling time for a break sounded like a decision to fail. As a single mom I had a heart filled with big dreams and being busy was my way of proving to myself that I was "making it". But behind closed doors I was depleted, exhausted, overwhelmed, and stressed out. Then I started to wonder... "If this is what it takes to be successful do I even want it? There must be a better way."

That moment hit me harder than a ton of bricks. I realized that over pushing myself was not bringing me closer to the promises of God, but actually pulling me further away. Influential entrepreneur Warren Buffett once said,

"The difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say no to almost everything."
Success is about focus not frenzy.

It's about learning what truly matters and releasing the guilt of "not doing enough". Because by doing less you can actually achieve more. Stick with me because I am about to show you exactly how to build an effective routine, master your mindset, and how to live with intention. By the end of this post, you'll have all the tools you need to build your own success story. Are you ready to transform your life? (If you're still reading then I assume you answered yes! So let's dive in.)

The Power of Routines: Success Starts The Night Before

If you want to master success, you first need to master your habits, which actually starts with your night routine. Morning routines are amazing, but the real gold is found within the night before. A successful day first starts with preparation, not waking up in chaos.

Why it matters:

  • Hydration, rest, and self care matter more than you think. 7-8 hours of sleeps gives your brain all the energy it will need throughout your day, impacting your mood, productivity, and focus.

  • Romanticizing your night routine reduces stress. Studies show that romanticizing simple daily moment such as ( lighting a candle, using aromatherapy in the shower, or stretching before bed) can boost happiness and lower anxiety.

  • Preparation creates momentum. When you set your intentions the night before like ( laying out your gym clothes for the morning, planning your day, or preparing breakfast) you save mental energy for what really matters. You can now show up as your best, and most focused self.

**Morning routine tip: Start with ONE non-negotiable like prayer, worship, drinking a cup of water, or enjoying a healthy breakfast, and slowly work your way up from there.

Glowing up isn't about living the a picture perfect life that social media loves to portray; It's about being intentional about cultivating daily peace.

Master Your Time, Master Your Life: 80/20 Rule

You're not unproductive because you're a failure , you're unproductive because you're just doing too much of the wrong things. Sis, you were not created to hustle, you were created to thrive. Here is how to work smarter, not harder and still build the live of your dreams.

In 1896 an economist named Vilfredo Pareto made an astonishing observation. He looked at the distribution of land in Italy and noticed that 80% of the land was owned by 20% of the people.

So what does this mean for you?

I want you to think about your life right now: whether you are trying to navigate a busy schedule, focusing on your career, or just trying to achieve your goals. The idea is that 80% of your results come from only 20% of your actions. Surprising, right? So, this means you don't actually have to do everything. You do not have to be constantly busy in order to be productive.

By identifying the 20% of things that truly matter, such as task that directly impact your goals i.e ( spending time with loved ones, fellowship, self-care, and spiritual growth activities) you can achieve the 80% of success you desire. So, it's not about doing more, but rather: how can I simplify my task to maximize results?

It's like tapping into a crazy sale in your favorite clothing store, and getting more for less, but in your personal life.

Takeaway: Focusing your energy on small, intentional choices gives you a bigger return. You can now live with intention, achieve more, master your time, and become THAT successful girl.

Core Priorities aka Non-Negotiables

Setting aside time for devotional, meal prepping, fitness, and financial planning is a must when it comes to your That Girl Journey. Sis, if you want next-level results, then you need next-level habits. These habits may seem mundane, but in due time they manifest in lasting, transformational change ( which is why you're here right?)

  • Fitness: Now you don't have to have a top tier workout plan and run and go hire a personal trainer ( unless that works for you) but fitness doesn't have to be complicated. It can be as simply as a 20 minute walk or doing some at home pilates ( can we say free ninety-nine?)

  • Meal Prepping: Planning your meals saves you so much time and energy ( especially for those of us who have kids!) It's one less thing to stress about during your week. You will thank yourself later.

  • Devotional Moments: Spending time with God daily keeps you centered, in alignment, and spiritually charged for what's to come. Even 5 minutes of prayer of a morning devotional can shift your whole day. ( And if you have a bit more time you, tune into the She Prays, She Prospers Podcast- your go to for weekly devotionals to kickstart your day with purpose.)

The glow-up journey is all about being intentional, effective, and surrendering control.

Your Holy Glow Up Trio: Why Travel, Fun, & Community Matters

Success is not just about money, it's about thriving in all areas of life.

Here is your blueprint to success:

Put God First

When you prioritize your relationship with God everything else will flow. Your spiritual life is the foundation that supports all the other aspects for your life. When you seek God first you allow him to direct your paths, and take the weight of trying to "figure it all out" off of your shoulders because you realize it is already done. This will enable you to have an everlasting peace that will overflow into all areas of your life. ( I mean I just smell the prosperity!)

"But first and most importantly seek ( aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [ his way of doing and being right - the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also. " ~ Matthew 6:33

Be Fruitful & Multiply ( Finances, I mean )

Financial freedom doesn't happen overnight, so start small. Set mini-goals such as saving $500 dollars or starting an emergency savings fund. These bite-sized goals will create a sense of accomplishment giving you the financial peace your mind deserves. You are one step closer to living on your own terms. Because what's the point of success if you never get the opportunity to enjoy it?

"If you plan and work hard, you will have plenty; if you hurry to get rich, you will end up poor." ~ Proverbs 21:5

Travel & Social Life

We often put off experiences that bring us joy, thinking that another day will "be a better time". But honestly, life is too short to push happiness to future. Take the trip now, plan the girls' day out now, save the date to recharge now. Traveling doesn't alway have to be luxurious, it can be something simple as enjoying a new hobby with some friends. Sis, be spontaneous and try something new! Scratch something off that bucket list for once. We were not created to live life on autopilot (I mean even the Lord rested on the 7th day!)

"Remember the day of rest by observing it as a holy day. You have six days to for all your work." ~ Exodus 20: 7-9

Balance Over Burnout

We live in a society that glorifies hustling. That is such a culture thing ( unpopular opinion). Long hours, constant productivity, the whole "I'll sleep when I'm dead mentality" is not the move. Success is all about managing your energy with wisdom. If you stay burning out trying to do everything at once, you've got it all wrong! Of course, I am an advocate for working hard ( I mean just study at the Proverbs 31 woman, homegirl was a B-O-S-S!) , but there is also a time for rest, recharging, and renewal. Scheduling time for self-care, being still, and sleep is not laziness, it's wisdom, and absolutely necessary for your long-term success. Balance is what keeps you from burning out, so that when you show up for yourself you do so with focus and optimal energy.

" Stop fighting and know that I am God! I am the one who defeats the nations; I am the one who controls the world." ~ Psalm 46:10
