How To Radiate His Glory and Walk in Divine Destiny

ree

Have you ever felt like you were doing all the right things — I mean you praying, healing, evolving — yet you still feel stuck? It's like you're in the process of glowing up on the inside but seeing no tangible changes on the outside? Girl, same. Trusting God during the glow-up journey is not for the weak, but it's where the true intimacy is built and the miraculous has room to happen.

When I first started my glow-up journey, I was inspired yet overwhelmed by all the things I thought I had to do in order to become the woman of my dreams. I mean, I didn't even know where to begin. Do I want this hairstyle or the next? Do I want to be a pilates girly or do I want to do crossfit? Am I going to go for the chic style or keep it more classic? So many decisions, so many pathways, how in the heck am I supposed to find what's right for ME?

Sis, the struggle is REAL. So, my goal in this post is to help you connect to the woman within. Because the woman you desire to be, "THAT Girl" is already within. You just have to recognize her. I'm about to give you real tips to help you glow up, grow in faith, and tap into your royal destiny.

We live in a day and time where we spend more time on social media than any other generation in history. The average woman spends 3 hours a day on social media engaging in content that aligns with their personal interest and goals. Over 52% of women have tried a new health trend, or approach that they discovered on social media. Platforms like Instagram and TikTok are popular for discovering workout and wellness routines.

Many women share and seek content related to **fashion inspiration**, **self-care routines**, and productivity hacks. When used mindfully, social media can enhance self-esteem, and foster impactful relationships. However, on the flip side, it is also noted as one of the main causes of anxiety, depression, and body image concerns. An unhealthy relationship with social media can lead to feelings of insecurity, discontentment, and feelings such as jealousy or comparison, which are like poison to your soul.

But glow-ups that are God-centered are different. Elevating with Christ is more than just surface-level changes but rather a complete transformation from the inside out. When you invite God into your glow journey, you're not just trying to be a "baddie" or live an "aesthetically pleasing" lifestyle. You are allowing Him to shape your character, heal your heart, reprogram your mind, and reveal the purpose and blessings He has already predestined for you. It's less about striving and more about the art of surrender. It's less about impressing others and more about living unapologetically authentic.

True glow-ups give you an undeniable essence. I'm talking not just beauty but peace, purpose, and prosperity. And, hear me out when I say prosperity, I mean it in a holistic manner - thriving spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, relationally, and financially. It's all about living the abundant life God intended. (No worries, we will dive deeper into what holistic prosperity looks like in another post — you're gonna love it.) Now that we understand the importance of partnering with God on this journey, let's dive into 5 things to remember when trusting God on your glow-up journey.

5 Things To Remember When Trusting God With Your Glow Up Journey

1. Your Journey Is Personal - Not a Race

Sis, your glow-up is not about checking boxes or trying to fit into the standard. You are uniquely made. This is a lifelong journey of becoming the woman God created you to be. It's all about learning what works for you, not a race to prove your worth. You don't have to have it all figured out right now — and honestly, you're not supposed to. God never asked for perfection. So breathe, chillax, and let God take the lead, one step at a time.

2. You Can Grow and Glow At The Same Time

One thing about this journey is that you never truly "arrive." There is always space to grow, another layer of healing, and new lessons to be learned. Learning to embrace every season, even when it doesn't unfold how you expect, is still forward momentum.

3. You're Already "That Girl" In Heaven's Eyes

Before ever embarking on this journey, there is one thing you need to know: God already sees you as beautiful, powerful, and full of purpose. You don’t need external achievements or applause to be "that girl." You already are her. This process is then about you working toward the manifestation of what's already inside you all along. (This is a God-birthed manifestation, not any law of attraction or worldly manifestation that you see trending — this is biblical manifestation, the kind where God's promises unfold in your life through faith and obedience.) Your glow-up isn't about trying to be someone else. It's about unveiling the queen that is already within. The confident, radiant, wise, and unstoppable daughter of the Most High.

4. Comparison Kills Confidence

You ever heard the phrase "comparison is the robber of joy"? This couldn't be closer to the truth. Nothing will steal your peace quicker than looking at what the next girl is doing. God created you unique. Focus on your own lane. Celebrate your own victories (no matter how big or small), and remember what God has for you is for you. Competition? I don't see ANY.

5. You're Built for Purpose

Glowing up isn't just about looking good or being noticed. You are being built with intention and with purpose in mind. Every lesson, every tear, every step is preparing you to walk in influence, anointing, leadership, and impact. You're not just building a life — you're building a legacy. It’s bigger than you, sis. You're being positioned to reign.

From Dreams to Destiny: How to Trust God With Your Glow Up

Start a Simple Prayer Life

Prayer does not have to be fancy or long — it’s simply communication with God. Start by setting aside just 5 minutes a day. You can journal your prayers (my personal favorite), whisper them while getting ready, or you can even do it quietly throughout your day. It’s about creating the habit of connection, not perfection. Prayer is how you invite God into your journey, and it's where He gives wisdom, peace, and direction that can't be found anywhere else.

"Never worry about anything. But in every situation let God know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks." ~ Philippians 4:6

Write Out Your Dreams and Goals

Sis, God wants you to dream big, but He also wants to direct you. Write out your goals confidently and with expectation, but leave space for God to shift or tweak them as He wills. Trust that His plans are greater than anything you could ever imagine.

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” ~ Proverbs 19:21

Find Scriptures That Reflect Your Goals

If you are believing God for healing, success, marriage, or wholeness — there are promises in God's word for every part of your life. Find Bible verses in alignment with your dreams and speak them over yourself DAILY. It grounds your dreams on a firm foundation, not wishful thinking.

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void.” ~ Isaiah 55:11

Make a Vision Board

A vision board is not just to look pretty and use as your lock screen — when it's done with God, it's a declaration of faith. So, grab you some pictures, scriptures, and biblical affirmations that reflect what you are praying for (you can do this digitally or physically). Post it somewhere you will see it daily as a reminder to stay expectant.

“Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.” ~ Habakkuk 2:2

Faith Requires Action

You may never "feel" ready, but faith without works is dead. God moves when you move, one step at a time. So apply for that school, sis, start the business, join the gym, say that prayer. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about being obedient and intentional.

"Do not deceive yourselves by just listening to His word; instead, put it into practice." ~ James 1:22

The Recap:

Starting your glow-up journey with God is simple: pray, prepare, and prosper. Stay rooted in scripture, create your vision board, and move in faith. Small seeds of obedience today will grow into a harvest bigger than you can ever imagine tomorrow. 🌱💖

Conclusion: You’re Not Stuck, You’re Being Planted

If I could leave you with one thing, it would be: you’re not stuck, you’re being planted. Just like a seed takes time to break open, grow roots, and push through the soil before you ever see it bloom — your glow-up is happening even when you can't see it yet. God is working behind the scenes, and your job is to stay planted, stay faithful, and trust the process.

This week, I challenge you: Pick one area of your life where you’re going to trust God deeper. It could be for healing, for confidence, for purpose, or even for the desires of your heart. Write it down, pray over it, and release it to Him.

And don't forget: You're already on the way — inside first, outside will follow. You are becoming stronger, wiser, greater, and more prosperous every day you say "yes" to God’s way.
